The number of paychecks you get in 2027 is not the same for everyone, even on the same pay frequency. A biweekly worker might get 26 paychecks or 27, and a weekly worker might get 52 or 53, depending on which day of the week the employer pays and which week the schedule started. 2027 begins on a Friday and ends on a Friday, which makes it one of the years where the answer splits. Enter your pay frequency and any recent payday in the calculator above and it counts your scheduled 2027 paydays, lists every date, flags your extra-paycheck months and shows what each check is worth if your salary is split 26 or 27 ways.
Which Months Have Three Paychecks
Biweekly pay produces two paychecks in most months, with a third in the months where three of your paydays fit. For the Friday group paid on January 1, the three-paycheck months are January, July and December. For the Friday group paid on January 8 they are April and October. Thursday biweekly workers get April and September if their first payday is January 7, or July and December if it is January 14. Weekly workers see five-paycheck months instead: a Friday weekly schedule gets them in January, April, July, October and December, while a Thursday schedule gets them in April, July, September and December.
Those extra checks are the best planning opportunity in the year. If your fixed bills are built around two paychecks a month, the third one is uncommitted money, and a biweekly employee earning $78,000 a year will receive $3,000 more than usual that month.
